  • HOP HORRIGAN first appeared in All-American Comics #1 and was one of the greatest pilots of World War II.

NEW GUARDIANS Gloss, Ram, Extrano (with the disembodied Betty Clawman), Floro, Jet, and Harbinger (as well as Thomas Kalmaku, Green Lantern's pal) gathered after the events of Millennium. Gathered as the "Chosen" of humanity by a Guardian of the Universe and his mate, the New Guardians were given their own series. At the end of that series it was revealed that their true destiny was to educate the real Chosen, a group of hybrid creatures who would advance the human race.

SASQUATCH, Dr. Walter Langowski, is an original member of Alpha Flight and first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #120. In college, Langowski met Bruce Banner and this set Walter onto the field of radiation/gamma research. He tried to recreate the same experiment that created the Hulk but under controlled conditions. Instead, Langowski tapped into the power of the Great Beasts of Canada and became the living avatar of the creature known as Tanaraq. Since that time, he has occupied the robotic Box, the mindless body of the Hulk, has been a woman, and was replaced with a real Sasquatch (although noone knew it for a little while).
