  • Stop Jamie from speaking. To grind the show to a snails pace is one thing but to toss his nickel and dime opinion on Guardian devil makes me sick. Sure I understand the need to have conflicting opinions, but snail boy slows and nearly grinds the show to halt. The DC fanboy loves his crisis and old school books, why even chime in on books you feel are lesser books then "crisis on infinite earths" (for the record blows sevre ass in the same vain of the clone saga ass blowing) Fine love th watchmen justly so, Born again isn't watchmen. Guardian devil isn't born again light. Related yes , but not even in comparison. Props to the other folks (including dog) for keeping the show entertaining, the video game stuff in the last show was rather dragging but hey you tried and more then happy to it its shot. Maybe jamie could do it? Keep up the good work and hopefully Jamie takes more naps during the show... allowing the dog or passers by to chim in with there thoughts.

  • in response to above comment from boss hogg:
Sheesh... I wasn't aware that the show that I've been listening to since early March, was supposed to be a Marvel love fest. Because apparently you've never learned the most universal truth that I know of I'll explain it here: Opinions are like Belly Buttons, everyone has one. And while I(and you apparently) may not agree with what Jamie thinks about the book, his opinions are just that, opinions. Also I direct you to listen to these shows from the beginning, where you'll see that Jamie is more interested in good stories, rather than pathetic company loyalty. Regardless of what this Marvel fanboy says, I think it was a well done episode, and I'm glad you had an opposing viewpoint in there. It made me temporarily take myself away from my own opinions and see annothers point of view, and I like that you didn't just choose a book that everyone had read 5 times already. Keep up the good work and Jamie, ignore asses like boss hogg here.

  • Hey you cant please everyone all the time and just for the record I am not the DC fanboy of the group that would be Peter or Shane if you had to sling a sterotype...I prefer opinions are like assholes...everyone has one and they usually stink...so I thank you for listening and hope you enjoy what you hear everyone else say and when I speak you can just zone out and wake up when the rest talk...as they say as long as they spell my name right there is no bad press...

you know sometimes hostility like this masks a deep desire to be like me so I guess I should feel flattered

  • Jamie,
As the old Latin saying goes, "Don't let the bastards get you down!" Or, as I prefer it, the Artie Lange saying, "WAAAAA, I can't stand Jamie and his opinions, not to mention I'm the only person to hate Crisis on Infinite Earths, WAAAA!" This joker(boss hogg) probably thought the original FF movie (the one not legally released) is the best comic-book movie ever!
Regardless, I've got your back bro,

  • I recently posted a comment on your site and was quickly accosted by the members of the site. Justly so, I attecked a hosts style. My mistake I meant no bad blood between a fan of the show and its on air personalities. My misunderstanding of many of the hosts view attributed to my knee- jerk comments, yes thats right it was know ones fault but my own mis informed ass. I know your listeners will love that line. My thoughts on potentially altering the pace of the show were clearly wrong. Am I jealous of that hosts spot on the show? Sure. As for the roger corman comment.... if I enjoyed that film you sir enjoy both Joel schumachers bat nipple epics. The recent fantastic four is indeed fantastic popcorn fair, where as the corman version could (and would have been) made by a high school film/drama class. Your show is indeed good and my offering of critiscm came off as a personal attack. I don't know the hosts personally and as such it was rude of me to mis pharse and poorly type that critique, in such a manner as to offend the hosts personally. Please keep up the good work and yes I indeed will keep listening as decent round table discussion at times is hard to find.

  • I thought it was funny.

  • I enjoy a different opinion but a personal attack is something we dont do here...you can get that on other boards...I for one accept your apology and lets move on...If you disagree with me fine by me...thats why there are hundreds of comics printed each month because not everyone agrees...so I call off the jihad on Boss Hogg and look forward to his next post...you can tell Rios to shut up if you want....bwahahahahaha

  • Unfortunately, life's been too hectic for me to take the time to dig through the, way too many, comic boxes in the basement, so I never did get to reread this Daredevil story. But I do recall that at the time I thought, "jesus Kevin, take a freakin breath!" It took forever to read those issues.

Bearing in mind that I'm a big fan of Mr. Smith's work this is a hard thing for me to admit. I can say that I loved his story arc involving the return of the Green Arrow and am the proud owner of a signed hardcover of that, which my son bought for me at Kevin's comic book store in Red Bank.

Didn't Kevin even poke fun at himself for being so wordy, in one of the movies?

Jamie, you're still the shiz nit pimp in my book!

  • But Peter...you think your nickname of "Twinkle-toes" is a complement!
